This station on New Jersey Transit's North Jersey Coast Line is a nice one. There is enough parking (free after mid-day) and the platforms are long and easily accessible. The announcements are easy to hear and give good info. And the ticket machines usually work and are fairly easy to operate. We use this station for trips to MSG for concerts.

Basically, the only "facility" is a couple of ground loops which are normally encrusted with a swarm of Walmart's Rusty Best. I'm not certain that if I actually used one of these that my bike would still be there when I returned. Or that someone else had chained their bike to mine, thus immovable.. Yes. It happens. No wonder more discerning cyclists lock their bikes to adjacent trees.

It's not just a station. It's what every complete town needs, so the very fact that this is a town with a direct connection to NYC is A Good Thing.

Otherwise, station announcements seem to be automatic, but, if a situation arises become human but remote. Recently, an incident caused the line service to be suspended. An announcement was made, but no further information was forthcoming for about 40+ minutes by which time most potential passengers had already gone home or got a taxi.

it's alright. this is outside station, if you take a train in winter, make sure you wear some layer to warm up.

Given that on any given day, there could be about 40 bikes here, I would think that NJT/Red Bank authorities could consider what 40 extra car parking spaces might cost so that a roof and better lockup facilities and surveillance for bicycles wouldn't be such a huge expense and would relieve pressure on the otherwise limited car parking facilities. But that would be sensible, sustainable and all the other Green Stuff. But this is New Jersey. 'Nuff said.

So whilst the station and its service should be a gem the reality is rather tarnished. People, you really don't know what you've got 'til it's gone. They paved Paradise and put up a parking lot.

Car parking seems to be a perennial issue here in Red Bank, but since I live a ten minute bike ride away, it's not really an issue for me so I can't comment. However, the bicycle parking facilities are a problem.

I love travelling through this train station, however I HAVE to rate it poorly due to the fact that it is missing a crucial feature for me....A PUBLIC RESTROOM. For those travelling by bus only this is NOT at all convenient.
