The staff is nice, the place is clean... but the food is really just tasteless. I've been to a few different locations and they are all the same. Even the salsas are bland! The only flavor my meal had was from the Cholula hot sauce I doused it with. I only go to Surf Tacos in a pinch, it's never a destination. After this last visit, I'd rather stay hungry and find another place to go in that price range.
Food is good, behind the counter in the serving area is disgusting, along with the cashier's attitudes. If you look behind the counter near the sink you'll see that the bottom is rotting out, which attracts bugs. Also, in that counter are containers that hold your food. They charge you 50¢ if you ask for a side of sour cream. Oh and they're not very fond of people who don't look like them. I wasn't even going to review, but discrimination is one hell of a motivator.
Not long after I made the review, a Surf Taco rep called me and deeply aplogized for the incident and reassured me that that's not how Surf Taco is. I let him know that I understood its not Surf Taco as a whole and it was an isolated incident. He also said that that counter did not contain food containers and it was only to store chemicals. Other than that counter, the store looks pretty nice. I just wanted to make an edit and tell how professional the company is as a whole. They also sent gift cards which was a plus.
Burrito here are pretty good but if you're going for something with rice and beans, flavor falls a little flat. It's very plain and straight forward but the unlimited salsa bar is was gives this place major points. Overall, not horrible, but if you're looking for more flavor in your food, chipotle does it better.
Better than Chipotle and chips come free with every meal. Great choices on the menu as well. Would recommend for anyone who enjoys burritos, tacos, or salads.

I enjoyed the food here. I had the Aloha wrap which had pineapple, guacamole, chicken teriyaki and lettuce. Friendly service and a really nice atmosphere as well. I'd come back.
